COUNSEL FOR COMMON INTEREST DEVELOPMENTS
Chapman & Intrieri, LLP represents homeowners associations as general counsel concerning a wide variety of issues and activities including Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions revision update, and enforcement. The Firm also reviews, drafts and implements various contracts regarding repairs and/or ongoing maintenance for the homeowners associations, and assists with the day to day operations of the associations, including the drafting of various ballot measures for the Boards of Directors. In addition, the Firm has significant experience in litigating construction defect matters on behalf of homeowners associations and individual owners of single family residences with particular emphasis on insurance coverage issues.

INSURANCE DEFENSE LITIGATION
The Firm's principals and associates have considerable experience representing insureds as assigned defense counsel. We represent clients in matters concerning personal injury, products liability, premises liability, construction defect, toxit tort and environmental claims, wrongful termination claims (including related claims for defamation and invasion of privacy), unfair competition claims, claims arising from commercial disputes, insurance bad faith, professional malpractice actions, intellectual property and advertising injury claims.

CONSTRUCTION LAW
CHAPMAN & INTRIERI, L.L.P. offers a unique combination of practical, hands-on experience in the construction field coupled with litigation and trial experience which is invaluable when handling construction disputes. We have successfully resolved matters involving insurance coverage, contract and change order disputes, large multi-unit residential and commercial construction defect claims among developers, general contractors, subcontractors, homeowner associations and single family owners. We have also litigated various indemnification actions, mechanic’s lien disputes, foreclosure proceedings, delay claims and construction site personal injury actions.

PRODUCT LIABILITY
The Firm’s members have considerable knowledge and litigation experience in complex product liability cases and have represented clients in numerous matters involving various theories of liability such as design defects, manufacturing defects, defective warning/labeling and product tampering in connection with a multiplicity of products including automobiles, construction materials, architectural renderings, computers, clothing, industrial chemicals, solvents, adhesives and a wide variety of other consumer goods.

FRAUDULENT CLAIMS ACTIONS
The Firm has special experience in the investigation and litigation of fraudulent claims in a wide variety of subject areas, including the defense and prosecution of Government Code False Claims Act cases. We have also developed particular expertise defending against fraudulent personal injury actions in both automobile and commercial liability scenarios for several major carriers. We also regularly advise our clients in connection with litigation management and fraud detection practices.

BUSINESS LAW
The members of our Firm have handled numerous complex business litigation matters including disputes relating to contract interpretation, wrongful termination, partnerships, unfair competition, intellectual property, licensing and proprietary matters and covenants regarding competition. The firm also handles preparation, review and supplementation of real estate transactional agreements.

REAL ESTATE AND LAND USE
The Firm’s principals have litigated numerous real estate matters involving land use and zoning, easement disputes, title insurance disputes, contractual disputes, commercial lease disputes, specific performance of purchase and sales agreements, condemnation actions, and eviction proceedings.

PUBLIC ENTITY CONTRACTS AND RELATED LITIGATION
The Firm’s principals have represented public entities including various state agencies and municipalities, fire districts, school districts and sanitary districts throughout California on a broad range of business, real estate, contract, tort and employment litigation matters. We have experience handling disputes involving wrongful discharge, breach of contract, construction projects, eminent domain/ condemnation proceedings, labor negotiations and land use litigation as well as Government Code False Claims Act cases.

EARTH MOVEMENT
The Firm’s attorneys have extensive experience in land movement and subsidence litigation. We have handled disputes ranging from localized land subsidence to massive disasters. We are familiar with many of the geotechnical experts who regularly handle land movement litigation in both Southern and Northern California.

ENVIRONMENTAL LITIGATION
Our attorneys have litigation experience appearing before governmental agencies and state and federal courts in actions regarding environmental claims. Members of our Firm have experience in soil and groundwater contamination as well as toxic tort and coastal zone management issues.

LABOR RELATIONS AND EMPLOYMENT LITIGATION
The Firm has experience in all areas of traditional private and public sector management labor practice, including collective bargaining and contract administration, grievance arbitration, personnel administration and counseling, unfair labor practice hearings and other NLRB and PERB administrative hearing procedures. We have also defended employers in all areas of employment related litigation, including wrongful termination, discrimination suits (both civil actions and administrative claims before state and federal agencies), CAL-OSHA and Federal OSHA administrative hearings and State Labor Board hearings. Our Firm also provides counseling and workshops in employment-related litigation, including discrimination under California and Federal guidelines, drug testing, sexual harassment, rights of the physically and mentally challenged and other similar areas in order to assist our clients in implementing good employment practices and diminishing the volume and severity of employment related claims and losses.
