MARK G. INTRIERI was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1984. Mr. Intrieri graduated cum laude from the University of Santa Clara, California in 1981 and obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Santa Clara School of Law in 1984 where he received the American Jurisprudence Award in the subject of labor law.

 

Mr. Intrieri is a principal of Chapman & Intrieri, L.L.P. and co-founder.

 

In 2004, Mr. Intrieri was recognized by his peers as one of the top 100 lawyers in Northern California and has been annually elected as a Northern California “Super Lawyer” from 2004 to the present.

 

Since 1984, Mr. Intrieri has specialized in civil litigation and trial work with an emphasis in product liability, business, public entity, construction, intellectual property and employment litigation. Mr. Intrieri also has extensive experience in education and labor law for public entities, including conducting labor negotiations, contract administration, grievance arbitrations and administrative hearings. Mr. Intrieri has also represented both private clients and public entities in complex business and real estate matters, special education litigation, and general civil litigation, including personal injury defense, eminent domain, construction disputes, trademark infringement and complex toxic tort litigation.

 

Mr. Intrieri also has considerable experience litigating cases brought by public entities under the State Government Code False Claims Act seeking recovery of damages and penalties for alleged fraudulent claims made against Government entities.

 

Mr. Intrieri is admitted to all courts of the State of California, including the United States Federal Court, Northern District, Southern District, Central District, Eastern District and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and has developed an extensive appellate practice before the State Appellate Courts.

 

JOHN W. CHAPMAN was admitted to the California State Bar in 1988 following completion of his Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1987. While attending Pepperdine University, Mr. Chapman spent a semester in London, England participating in the International Moot Court Competition with the Inns of Court. Mr. Chapman received his Bachelor of Arts from California State University, San Diego, in 1984, majoring in English, History and Political Science.

 

Mr. Chapman is a principal of Chapman & Intrieri, L.L.P. and co-founder.

 

From 1977 through 1984, Mr. Chapman was involved in the construction industry working on many facets of both residential and commercial projects. Mr. Chapman’s practical experience in this regard has proved valuable to clients when litigating complex construction disputes. Since his admission to the Bar, Mr. Chapman has specialized in civil defense litigation with particular emphasis and expertise in construction defect litigation, business litigation, environmental litigation, personal injury defense, products liability and premises liability actions.

 

Mr. Chapman has tried cases in the real estate, construction, personal injury and products liability fields. Mr. Chapman also has represented a major multinational chemical corporation in environmental and licensing disputes. 

 

Mr. Chapman has been recognized as a Northern California Super Lawyer in the construction litigation field for the years 2005 and 2006.

 

Mr. Chapman is admitted to all courts of the State of California and is a member of ECHO and CAI.

 

KURT T. HENDERSHOTT received his Juris Doctor from Hastings College of the Law in 1987, and was admitted that year to practice before all courts in the State of California, including the Northern District Federal Courts, the Eastern District Federal Courts, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.  While at Hastings College of the Law, Mr. Hendershott was a contributing member of the Constitutional Law Quarterly, and a student instructor in Torts.

 

Mr. Hendershott had previously graduated cum laude from the University of Oregon in 1984, where he was elected to membership in Beta Gamma Sigma, the national honor society for students in business and management.

 

Since 1987, Mr. Hendershott has specialized in civil litigation, with an emphasis in insurance defense.  Mr. Hendershott has defended a significant number of cases in the areas of  products liability, personal injury (including wrongful death cases) and employment litigation (including wrongful termination, harassment and discrimination cases).  Mr. Hendershott has defended commercial class action and unfair business practices cases, pursued on behalf of significant numbers of California consumers.  In regard to each of the above areas, Mr. Hendershott has significant experience and expertise in representing automobile dealerships and related entities. 

 

Mr. Hendershott has submitted appellate briefs and has argued before the First District Court of Appeals, and the Sixth District Court of Appeals.  His successes include two published opinions.

 

Mr. Hendershott has represented clients in trial, binding arbitration, and mediation.  Mr. Hendershott has also represented clients before the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Worker’s Compensation Appeals Board (with a focus on discrimination cases), and the Department of Labor, Fair Labor Standards Enforcement Division.

Successfully resolved representative cases include a number of consumer unfair business practices actions against automobile dealership groups, and products liability actions against companies including a national tire retailer, and domestic motorcycle franchises. Additional cases which he has brought to successful resolution include employment harassment/discrimination actions against a retail grocery chain, and several such cases against automobile dealership franchises.

 

STEPHANIE L. SMITH

 

 

JESSICA A. FAKHIMI was admitted to the State Bar of California in December of 1996 and the State Bar of Nevada in October of 1998.  Ms. Fakhimi graduated from San Diego State University in 1992, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Business and a Minor in Economics.  Ms. Fakhimi was on the Dean’s List and tutored students with learning disabilities in Economics.  She received her  Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1996.

 

Ms. Fakhimi is admitted to practice law before all courts of the State of California, all the courts of the State of Nevada and in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.

 

Since 1996, Ms. Fakhimi has specialized in civil litigation with an emphasis in insurance defense.  Ms. Fakhimi has practiced in the areas of personal injury, products liability, construction defect, medical malpractice, discrimination under the ADA and employment litigation, including medical staff privileges cases. Ms. Fakhimi has submitted two successful briefs to the Court of Appeals.  She has represented clients at mediation on many occasions. She continues to practice in the area of personal injury, product liability, ADA and employment litigation.

 

CHRISTOPHER L. CAMPBELL received his Juris Doctor from Cornell University Law School in 1987, and was admitted to practice in the state of Connecticut in 1987.  He was admitted to practice law in California in the year 2000.  He is admitted to practice before all courts in the State of California, including the Northern District Federal Courts, the Eastern District Federal Courts, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.  Mr. Campbell had previously graduated from the University of Iowa in 1979.

 

For eight years Mr. Campbell worked for the fortune 50 company, United Technologies/Carrier Corporation (“Carrier Corporation”), as in-house counsel.  His duties included providing advice and counsel on all employment related matters.  He worked extensively with the Human Resources department and established Carrier Corporation’s policies and procedures regarding discrimination, harassment and reductions in the workforce.  He conducted seminar across the country on these issues.  

 

In civil litigation, since 2000, Mr. Campbell has successfully represented clients in trial, binding arbitration, administrative proceedings and mediation.  Mr. Campbell has also represented clients before the Department of Labor.

 

In sports, Mr. Campbell has successfully represented Olympic athletes in binding arbitration regarding their right to participate under Article IX of the United States Olympic Committee’s Bylaws.  In Federal Court, he has successfully litigated eligibility requirements for athletes under the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) rules.

 

Mr. Campbell has over ten years of experience as an arbitrator in sports related disputes.  He is a member of the Court of Arbitration for Sport, with its seat in Lausanne, Switzerland.  He served on the first Ad Hoc Division at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia.  He is also a Anti-Doping panel member of the American Arbitration Association.   

 

In the sport of Freestyle Wresting, Mr. Campbell is a 1981 World Champion, selected as the World’s Most Technically Prepared Wrestling at those championships.  He was a member of two Olympic Teams: 1980 (boycott year) and 1992.  Mr. Campbell won a bronze medal at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, Spain.  He is a two-time NCAA Division I National Champion, a Three-time Big Ten Champion and Four-Time National Freestyle Champion. 

 

Mr. Campbell has been a key note speaker for the United States Olympic Committee’s best practices seminars regarding Article IX disputes and representing athletes at the Olympic Games.

 

At the appellate division level in New York, Mr. Campbell successfully represented clients in a published case regarding an estate matter.  In the Northern District of California, Mr. Campbell successfully represented an athlete in a matter against the NCAA.   

 

J. SPENCER EDGETT was admitted to the State Bar of California in May of 2002.  Mr Edgett graduated Cum Laude from Northeastern University in 1998, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and international business.  He received his Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2001.  While attending USD School of Law Mr. Edgett studied at Southwestern University School of Law for a summer in Buenos Aires, Argentina and at Temple University School of Law for a semester in Tokyo, Japan.  Mr. Edgett also served as Chief Student Comments Editor of the San Diego International Law Journal.

 

Mr. Edgett is admitted to practice law before all courts of the State of California and in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.

 

Mr. Edgett’s practice includes litigation with an emphasis on construction defect, business, real estate and personal injury.  Mr. Edgett also advises Common Interest Developments on all aspects of management and operation including drafting and revising governing documents.

 

ALLYSON C. MASSIMINO received her Juris Doctor from Golden Gate University in 2005, and was admitted to practice before all courts in the State of California, including the Northern District Federal Courts, Eastern District Federal Courts, and United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

 

Prior to her legal education, Ms. Massimino obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from University of California, Santa Cruz.

 

Ms. Massimino focuses on civil litigation, with an emphasis in insurance defense, including personal injury, products liability and employment discrimination. Ms. Massimino has experience in representing automobile dealerships and related entities in cases involving allegations of consumer fraud, and allegations of federal and state statutory violations.  In addition, Ms. Massimino has experience in complex toxic tort asbestos litigation.
