Olympic Sports / NCAA Eligibility
Our firm has represented a wide cross section of athletes with eligibility and participation issues. For the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), we successfully represented an athlete in federal court with an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) eligibility issue. We encourage athletes facing NCAA A eligibility issues to contact our firm. Under the Ted Stevens Olympic and Amateur Sports Act, our firm has successfully represented the interests of both National Governing Bodies (NGBs) and Olympic athletes in “Right to Participate” disputes.
We are one of the most experienced firms in the country with “Right to Participate” disputes. The United States Olympic Committee (USOC) has had Mr. Campbell train NGBs and attorneys representing athletes to properly evaluate and handle these disputes.
Our firm has also advised mixed martial arts athletes on contractual provisions. We have been trained to negotiate contracts in the NFL, advised athletes on those contracts, and worked with coaches at the Olympic level in drafting and structuring contracts.
